Oakland County to Study its Alternative Energy Potential.

Yesterday Crain’s Detroit Business reported that Oakland County will commission a report to assess its own growth potential in alternative energy.  The County will reportedly release a request for estimates from research and analysis firms after Thanksgiving to help it gauge economic growth potential in various energy sectors, including wind, solar, and clean coal, among others.  Crain’s believes that the report is likely a precursor to future economic development strategy and initiatives.
